Join us for a panel with three medical experts and providers of hormone therapy. This event encourages discussion between mental and medical care professionals around topics of transgender health care, including these learning objectives:

  • Discuss best practices for consultation between medical and mental health providers when it comes to Transgender-affirming care
  • Learn medical providers’ assessment process related to the provision of hormone therapy
  • Identify and discuss considerations that may influence positive or negative outcomes of hormone therapy

Tassy Hayden, MD (she/her) graduated from Washington University School of Medicine in 2011 and completed her family medicine residency at the University of Massachusetts in Worcester. After she started practicing primary care, she was approached by a trans patient for masculinizing therapy and has been learning and practicing as much of this life-saving medicine as possible.

Kris Humphreys, MD (they/them) is an Internal Medicine Physician with the Saint Luke’s Health System.  They have a clinical focus on providing gender affirming primary care to transgender and gender non-conforming adults.  They prescribed gender affirming hormone therapy through the informed consent model.  Dr. Humphreys is Non-binary and uses the pronouns they and them.

Sarah Potter, MMS, PA-C, AAHIVS (she/her) has worked in community health centers as a Physician Assistant for 8 years. She is a credentialed HIV specialist through AAHIVM. Sarah is also passionate about adolescent medicine and transgender healthcare.
