Presenter bio:

Emily Foltz, LPC is a Licensed Professional Counselor working in the Kansas City, Missouri area. She is a graduate of Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism & Broadcasting - Public Relations, and holds a Master’s in Professional Counseling from Texas Wesleyan University. Emily completed a year-long fellowship in 2015 at the Transgender Institute to gain experience and expertise with transition. She has worked closely with the KU Medical Center Transgender Clinic and other hormone therapy providers in the Kansas City area. Emily teaches as an adjunct at Rockhurst and Avila Universities, and has been a guest speaker for student organizations at UMKC and Rockhurst, and has led trainings with the Olathe School District Middle School Counselors. She hopes to help contribute to normalizing gender nonconforming, transgender, and nonbinary identities through her work as a therapist and educator.
